  1. I didn’t forget

Published 25 Apr 08 to 09:58 | by Elisia Bargelletti | no comment

OK. I did. I forgot to write yesterday. I promised you that I would give ideas on what to get your mother.
I’m just so busy around here. Noemi and Christian just got back from a book fair in Quebec City and I have so many orders to enter in our system. Plus we are hiring some one new to replace me while I’m away and to take care of the French side of customer service and marketing.
    So I’m slacking off today.

  2. What will you get your mother?

Now is the time to start thinking of what you’re going to do for your mom for Mothers’ Day, unless you’re a procrastinator, then you still have about 3 weeks.

Some people believe this is another commercialized holiday invented by the greeting card companies. Well I make my own greeting cards and I still like to give my mom a little something to show I appreciate her.

Last year I got my Mom a personalized puzzle from Portrait Puzzles. This year I won’t be in town for the day. I’ll be in Europe on a long overdue vacation! But I’ll be thinking of her.

What are you getting your mom for mother’s day? If you’re stumped, I’ll try to come up with a few things next week.

  3. Homework

At our last meeting Martin gave us another homework assignment. (Do you remember our last homework assignment?) At least this time I didn’t spend hours on it, freaking out because I couldn’t get it right. No, this time I made my niece do it. Can you guess who did which paper man?

  4. Where do babies come from?

Published 03 Apr 08 to 14:27 | by Elisia Bargelletti | no comment

Oh that dreaded question. My niece started wondering ever since my sister got pregnant again and had her second child.

Alexia: Mommy, how does a baby come out of your stomach?
Mommy: Hmmmm. Why don’t you go ask daddy that question?
    Alexia: No. I want you.
    Mommy: Want some Jell-O?
    Alexia: Yeah!

Way to go! Complete avoidance. Not sure if this is the best way to go around it, but she is safe until the next time.
Robin Elise Weiss at About.com has some interesting advice on how you can answer these questions with out feeling so embarrassed.
